On 2 April 2025, the AMUSE project, implemented under the Erasmus+ KA2 programme and co-funded by the European Union, hosted a webinar «Introduction to Inclusive Education».

This event brought together 80 Ukrainian specialists - representatives of universities and organizations participating in the project - who gained access to the best European practices of inclusive education through participation in the «EU Inclusion Strategy and Social Equity» training course, the materials of which are available on the University of Tartu's Moodle platform.

The course was the result of cooperation between the University of Oslo, University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, University of Tartu and the Stichting Soft Tulip Foundation.

The speakers of the first event of the announced webinar series were Dr Sofie Sergeant and Drs. Hanne Touw from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.

They discussed in detail the concept of inclusive education, its basic principles, shared their own experience, and the audience received links to useful resources and valuable practical insights.

During the webinar, participants received assignments to complete based on the webinar materials and recommendations received.

To ensure effective cooperation, discussions were organized in the session rooms, where the participants had the opportunity to exchange views on the challenges in inclusive education. The webinar participants will be able to get answers to their questions in the context of the issues discussed in the form of practical cases from the trainers during the next meeting.

The event was held in the format of an active discussion and became a significant milestone in the development of the inclusive education space in Ukraine.

Academic staff of our university joined the webinar: representatives of the Faculties of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics, Preschool and Special Education, Primary Education, Natural Sciences and Environmental Management.

The webinar participants are looking forward to further interesting discussions and joint learning!
