On July 10–11, 2025, the Fourth Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2025) was held in Rome, Italy. The event served as a key platform for discussing the strategic vision for Ukraine’s recovery following the full-scale war caused by the aggression of the Russian Federation.

Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University was represented at URC 2025 by the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Oksana Kravchenko, who participated in the conference as part of the “Human Dimension” track.

Over the course of two days, nine thematic panel discussions took place, addressing the main challenges and opportunities related to rebuilding Ukraine’s human potential. The panels included participants from government bodies, international organizations, academic and expert communities, civil society, and the Ukrainian diaspora. Discussion topics included:

  • Engagement, Return, and Reintegration of Ukrainians
  • Culture as the Foundation for Human Capital Development
  • Education and Human Capital Development
  • Science, Research, and Innovation for Ukraine’s Recovery
  • Human-Centered Economic Recovery and Labor Market Development
  • Fostering Inclusion and Social Cohesion
  • Healthcare: Human Resources, Services, and Infrastructure
  • Gender Equality and Women’s Leadership in Recovery
  • Youth Policy and Sports as Tools for Intergenerational Cohesion

Special attention at URC 2025 was given to the role of education and science as key elements in shaping human capital and ensuring Ukraine’s long-term recovery. Professor Oksana Kravchenko took part in discussions on education reform, support for scientific research, international cooperation in pedagogy, inclusive education, psychosocial support, and social cohesion among youth in the context of post-war rebuilding.

The participation of a representative of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University in URC 2025 underscores the university’s active involvement in global processes for the development of Ukrainian education, science, and society. It also highlights the university’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships and contributing to the formation of a new model of national recovery through knowledge, culture, and humanity.
