From March 12 to 16, 2025, Oksana Kravchenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, and Dean of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, visited the city of Koblenz (Federal Republic of Germany) as part of a delegation from Uman.

The key purpose of the visit was the signing of a historic partnership agreement between the Ukrainian city of Uman and the German city of Koblenz. The official signing ceremony took place on March 13 at the Koblenz City Hall with the participation of the Mayor of Koblenz, David Langner, and the Mayor of Uman, Iryna Pletnyova.

On March 14, a working meeting was held at Koblenz University, where priority areas for cooperation with Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University were identified, and a draft Memorandum of Cooperation was developed. During a guided tour, the delegation became familiar with the infrastructure and facilities of Koblenz University.

That same day, the delegation visited Ukrainian students at Hilda Gymnasium, where they jointly conducted a Ukrainian language lesson. Ukrainian students, who were forced to relocate, shared drawings about Ukraine with children from Uman. A touching moment was the meeting with parents who shared their emotions and came to meet the delegation from Uman.

The German-Ukrainian evening with the Ukrainian community in Koblenz was emotional and heartfelt: Ukrainian songs, poems, memories, and warm conversations were filled with hope for a peaceful sky over Ukraine.

On March 15, the delegation visited the military hospital in Koblenz, where they learned about its medical infrastructure, the work of psychologists, and, most importantly, visited Ukrainian soldiers undergoing rehabilitation there.

We sincerely thank our colleagues in Koblenz for their warm welcome and a meaningful program!
