The new students joined in Collegium of Interdisciplinary Individual Humanities Studies (MIHuS), acting on the basis of Polish cultural and educational center in USPU. A unique opportunity to join our College students have had started from September 2009 (except Uman Pedagogical University, MIHuS centers operate in Ivan Franko Lviv National University, the Catholic University of Lviv and Kyiv Mohyla Academy).
During this time there was four Collegium graduations. Dozens of our students after the completion of three years of study, besides state diploma, received certificates of additional courses in MIHuS.
This year the desire to study in Collegium was mentioned by the students of the following departments: Ukrainian Philology, Foreign Languages, Professional and Technological Education, Primary Education and History. Those who at the end of the first year had an average mark no lower than 4 (5 points scale) had the right to join the Collegium.
Preliminary tests were conducted in two stages: presentation and evaluation of the application form and interview on the proposed topics. A scientific director of the Polish cultural and educational center, Head of World History and Law Chair, Ph.D. in History, Professor Igor Kryvosheia, coordinator of international activities of the University, Ph.D.in Pedagogics, Assistant Professor of English Language and Methods of its Teaching Chair Associate Professor Olga Sushkevych and Ph.D. in Humanities, Associate Professor of Slavic Languages and Foreign Literature Chair of Ukrainian Philology Department Piotr Pyzel evaluated the reports of students.
As a result of the interviews the following students were enrolled: Innu Braylyan, Sofia Kharenko, Natalia Gerasymenko, Anastasia Sichkar, Alina Yagufarova (Ukrainian Philology Department), Anastasia Yashchuk, Mariya Denysyuk, Yelyzaveta Samopal, Valeriya Kruzel, Olga Zhupaniyk (Foreign Languages Department), Natalia Alekseyeva (Primary Education Department), Anastasia Teslenko (Professional and Technological Education Department).
Each student will be proposed individual form of training under the guidance of an academic tutor. In addition to their own department's subjects, students will have the opportunity to study courses offered by Ukrainian Philology, Foreign Languages and History Departments.
