Learning a foreign language is undeniably a necessity in today’s world, and mastering it opens up significant opportunities. At Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, organizing foreign language courses has become a well-established tradition of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
In the 2024–2025 academic year, the faculty enrolled over 50 participants who attended classes three times a week with remarkable enthusiasm and persistence. The courses were delivered by Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages, Ilona Boichevska, and trainee lecturer of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages, Alina Lopushenko.
Throughout the course, participants had the opportunity to enhance their communicative competence through a variety of interactive tasks — composing dialogues within specific communicative situations, engaging in games and quests, and singing songs in English. Each lesson was a meaningful discovery, allowing the learners to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the English language, as well as British customs and traditions.
On May 28, 2025, certificates were awarded to those who successfully demonstrated their foreign language proficiency. We are confident that this achievement will inspire our dedicated and motivated university staff to continue striving for excellence and reaching new heights in language learning!
