Ukraine and Poland are not only close neighbors, but also active partners in the educational and scientific cooperation: the USPU Polish Cultural Centre has been working for five years. The new specialty "Ukrainian language, literature and Polish language" was established. Wieslawa Svyersch, the teacher of Polish has been working there for years. In addition, USPU has opened a Polish community - the union of those who love the culture of the Polish people, the history, the ethnic traditions, the language and so on.

The other day, the University was visited by the representatives of higher education in Poland - Piotr Pyzel, the Candidate in Humanities, appointed as a teacher of Polish in USPU by the Ministry of Higher Education of Poland, and Arthur Yuschynskyy, the teacher of Jan Dlugosz University in Częstochowa.

The guests had a meeting with Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector of the University. She wondered how comfortable the guests felt in their accommodations, she inquired about their future plans and suggestions concerning the work, told them about the educational establishment and its prospects in the hope that the Polish language would develop into a separate course rather than just specialization, and become a major some time later.

Polish colleague Peter Pyzel shared the experience of his work in other countries, including Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan and expressed a hope for further cooperation in the Department of World Literature and Slavic Languages ??of Pavlo Tychyna USPU.

Artur Yuschynskyy, the historian from Poland undergoing an academic training at the University, expressed the hope that cooperation with Ukrainian colleagues would enrich his scientific research, and everyone would benefit by the mutual work.

The University team is going to proceed with the fruitful work, the cooperation in scientific and educational spheres goes on, and it opens virtually unlimited possibilities for the University students who study Polish language and then undergo training or even to study in Poland on the dual Degree program.
