On the 26 of September the delegation headed by Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector of the University participated in the "Cherkasy region as the area of cooperation" Investment Forum 2013 the purpose of which was presenting investment opportunities, priority trends of development areas, expansion of trade and economic relations and finding new partners.

The forum was attended by heads of embassies, representatives of trade missions of foreign embassies in Ukraine, representatives of partner regions, heads of government agencies and departments of the ministries involved in innovation and investment activity, heads of departments responsible for innovation and investment in the Cherkassy region, experts, representatives of investment funds, financial institutions and financial - industrial groups interested in investment and innovation in Cherkasy Oblast, representatives of international consultancies and technical assistance projects of Ukraine, and the government representatives.

The Forum began with the speech of Sergiy Tulub, the Chairman of Regional State Administration, the Hero of Ukraine. He announced the greetings of Viktor Yanukovych, the President of Ukraine and complimented the investment attractiveness of Cherkasy. Besides, the following honored people were taking the floor: Mykola Steblynskyy, the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Investments and Management of economy of Ukraine, Leonid Kozachenko, the Head of the Council of Entrepreneurs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the President of the National Agricultural Federation, Dr. Jaysingh Sah, the International Project Manager of the European Union, the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine, and Mayor Rustavi David Dzhikiya.

During the forum the regional investment and innovation projects were presented. Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University submitted two business projects - "Organizational and economic bases of technological production of organic produce growing" ( the Project Manager was Valery Mikolajko, the Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor of Geosciences and general geology), and "Boosting the harvest of soybeans in the Cherkasy area in the conditions of usage of the eco-friendly nitrogen" (the project manager was Ruslan Yakymchuk, the Ph.D., Assistant Professor of biology and methods of teaching).

The projects were appreciated, and cooperation agreements were signed. The project agreement on provision of scientific research in "Organizational and economic bases of technological production of organic produce growing" was signed with the "Kolos" Association, Tetiiv Raion in Kyiv Oblast. The agreement was officially signed by Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and Igor Hihlavyy, the CEO.

The agrement on foundation of the Laboratory of Bacterial fertilizers between Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University and "Ahroprompererobka " Society in Vinnitsa Oblast was signed by the Rector and Oleksandr Mykolyuk, the CEO.

Also the craftsmen of the University Volodymyr Lopushan, Vitaliy Potapkin, Liliya Krutchenko, Vladyslav Blazhchuk participated in the folk craftsmen festival where they offered workshops in folk arts. The famous "Gonta" trio impressed everyone with their wonderful songs.

The forum has proved that the activities of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University present a good example of the commercialization of scientific researches which are the engine of innovation and key of economic development in the Cherkasy Oblast.
