"Ukraine and the European World: the History and the Present" nationwide scientific conference with international participation was organized by the History Department. Cherkasy National University named after Bogdan Khmelnitsky and the "Stara Uman" State Historical and Architectural Reserve also participated in the organization of the conference. The conference was dedicated to the 330 th anniversary of the victory of the European coalition troops over the Turkish army near Vienna.
The conference was attended by the Ukrainian scientists from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Uman, and Polish scientists from Warsaw and Czestochowa. The historians, educators, political scientists, linguists and lawyers clearly emphasized in their essential and interesting presentations that "Ukraine has always been and will always remain a European state."
