"Problems and prospects of vocational education in modern conditions" nationwide scientific-practical conference was held at the Technology and Pedagogics Department. The plenary meeting of the conference was opened by Oleksandr Bezliudniy, Ph.D. , Professor., Vice-Chancellor of USPU.

The conference was dealing with the problems and prospects of vocational education in the modern world. The following leading scientists were taking part in the scientific discussions: Oleksandr Kobernik, the Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor and Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and Technological Education, Chair of the Theory and Methods of Teaching Technologies Department, Stanislav Tkachuk, the Doctor of Educational Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Technology and Pedagogics Department, Talyat Azizov, the Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Building Academy of Ukraine, Head of the Technical and Technological Department, Occupational Health and Life Safety Department.

The plenary meeting was preceded by the Ukrainian Fair, exhibition of arts and crafts and workshops prepared by the students of Technology and Pedagogics Department.

The following higher educational establishments were presented: Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy (Kharkiv), Donbass State Engineering Academy , National Pedagogical Drahomanov University, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences , Khmelnitsky National University, Chernihiv National Pedagogical University named after T. Shevchenko, Poltava National Pedagogical University named after VG Korolenko; Ternopil National Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Hnatiuk, Vinnitsa State Pedagogical University, Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, Melitopol State Pedagogical University named after Bogdan Khmelnitsky and the Departments of Education and Science of the Regional State Administration in Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad and Ivano - Frankivsk Oblasts.

According to the conference program there were breakout meetings on topical issues of training in the system of vocational education, national and international experience of vocational education, educational degrees and the modernization of vocational education, teaching aspects of vocational training of vocational- technical schools.

The conference produced recommendations on the ways to developing vocational education. The nationwide conference was successful and meaningful. The Committee summed up the results of the conference and prepared a collection of scientific papers and abstracts, and the participants received the ertificates. Besides, the respected guests attended the “Sofiyivka” National Park.
