It’s been a quarter of the century since the charitable foundation that supports the disabled, war and labour veterans, and the elderly Uman residents was established in our city.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the city Social Assistance Fund named after of A. Kollontai in the rehabilitation center on Piontkovsky Street the charity concerned people ( business leaders, organizations, educational institutions, entrepreneurs, media) gathered to support the center.

Galyna Kucher, the Deputy Mayor, Head of Administration of Labour and Social Protection briefly introduced the history of the fund, remembered the most significant programs and activities in recent years and the major participants, including Mykola Gordiy, Director of the Uman Greenhouse Center, Anatoliy Lipkan, CEO of PJSC " Umanfermmash ". It was emphacised that Anton Yatsenko, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine has done a lot to support and help the resident of Uman in the last two years.

It's nice that our University is among the institutions that continuously and actively cooperate with the Fund to help in the various municipal social campaigns. At the ceremony Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector of the University, received the gratitude for cooperation, kindness and compassion in helping those in need, and on the occasion of the anniversary of the Fund.
